An ophthalmology client in the Chicago metro area is seeking a driven, self-managed liaison to build and maintain referral relationships with optometrists. This is a field-based role focused on increasing inbound patient referrals through direct outreach and education. Key Responsibilities Own a defined territory and develop referral relationships with relevant medical offices Conduct in-person visits and presentations to physicians, optometrists and staff Track referral activity and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless patient handoff Identify opportunities to improve conversion and strengthen long-term relationships Monitor competitive activity and share market feedback with leadership Qualifications 2+ years experience in field sales, referral development, or provider relations (ophthalmic or medical preferred) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Able to work independently, set goals, and manage a territory Familiarity with optometry or outpatient healthcare settings is a plus Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Compensation Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive Mileage reimbursement and benefits package To Apply Send a brief note outlining your relevant experience along with your resume.
