Legal Operations Manager

Location: Dallas, TX (On-site)

We are looking for a Legal Operations Manager to join our leadership team and ensure our attorneys and staff operate at the highest standard of excellence.

The Legal Operations Manager is responsible for driving accountability, enforcing processes, and ensuring smooth firm operations. This is not an administrative office manager role. You will partner with firm leadership to oversee systems, hold team members (including attorneys) accountable to performance standards, and continuously improve how we deliver legal services.

• Accountability & Performance
• Monitor attorney and staff compliance with firm processes and deadlines.
• Hold team members accountable for performance metrics and client service standards.
• Lead regular check-ins, reporting, and corrective action where needed.
• Process & Workflow Management
• Ensure firm SOPs are followed and improved.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or compliance gaps and implement solutions.
• Oversee task/project management systems (CRM, case management, etc.).
• Operational Leadership
• Serve as the operational point person for attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Manage daily operations, ensuring smooth case flow and client service delivery.
• Drive firmwide initiatives (tech adoption, new workflows, reporting).
• Financial & Resource Oversight
• Support leadership with budget tracking, expense management, and vendor relations.
• Monitor billing practices and time-entry compliance.
• Strategic Projects
• Lead cross-department initiatives (e.g., intake improvement, trial prep systems, client experience enhancements).
• Report KPIs and operational insights to firm leadership.

• Required
• 5+ years in operations, project management, or law firm administration.
• Proven experience holding professionals accountable (attorneys, managers, or staff).
• Strong background in process design and enforcement.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Tech-savvy: case management systems, CRMs, project management tools.
• Preferred
• Prior experience in legal operations, law firm management, or professional services consulting.
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar process/ops certifications.
• Bachelors degree (JD not required).
