Job Description Job Description The Level#4- Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing facility and production equipment to support the facility's manufacturing schedule. Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures. Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns. Understands and interprets blueprints required for work. Performs routine mechanical repair on equipment. Completes documentation related to the task at hand. Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area. Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision. Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards. Maintains excellent safety record. Maintains an excellent attendance record. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience required: Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience. At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including successful completion of jobs or similar activities. Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred. Skills: An individual must have the following skills in the Level#4- Maintenance Technician position: Interpersonal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Demonstrate initiative in addressing and/or resolving repair issues. Effective communication skills. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Physical requirements: This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to: Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent) Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent) Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional) Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent) Working conditions An individual that works in the Level#4- Maintenance Technician position: Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch. Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment. Must be available on an on-call basis. Education High School Diploma or GED Technical certification in a related field preferred You should be proficient in: Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans Troubleshooting Skills Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills Pneumatics Experience Hydraulics Experience Preventive Maintenance & Inspection Journeyman’s License Troubleshooting Industrial Automation Equipment Machines & technologies you'll use: ~ Conveyor Systems
