Akkodis is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Philadelphia, PA . Please review the details below:

Ideally, we are seeking an Industrial Engineering background to support and collaborate with a team responsible for designing production lines and implementing process flows. This role involves developing and communicating manufacturing engineering plans and projects to both internal and external stakeholders.

Pay Range: $50-$60/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Type: 7+months contract-to-hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and work with teams in designing production lines and implementing process flows.
• Develop, implement, and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects.
• Communicate project plans and progress to internal and external customers.
• Define, develop, and transfer manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.
• Develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
• Participate in engineering project teams to coordinate the release of new products.
• Estimate and track manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
• Maintain records and reporting systems for the coordination of manufacturing operations.

Position Level & Expectations:

• Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of the job area.
• Practical understanding of project management.
• May manage projects or processes with general supervision.
• Communicates with contacts inside and outside the department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
• Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.

Work Environment:

• 80 % on the production floor/20% in the office/desk
