Your Impactful Responsibilities - Conducting thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions either collaboratively with physicians or autonomously, depending on your credentials
- Providing education to patients and their families on wellness, preventive measures, and managing health concerns
- Prescribing medication and therapy as permitted by your scope of practice
- Engaging in chronic disease management and follow-up care for patients
- Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive and cohesive care
- Maintaining accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
Certifications Required - Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC), or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to complete within 90 days)
