About the Position: At Sidekicks Play & Stay, our kennel staff are an integral part of our business. As a kennel staff member (Stewards), you're responsible for the daily care, interaction, socialization, play supervision, and overall well-being of our beloved guests. This is the ideal position for someone who enjoys working hand-in-hand with dogs and cats, can clean and care for our guests, and enjoys communicating with our clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning of runs, suites, and cat suites
• Monitoring each guest's health, behavior, and habits
• Providing care in the form of feeding/watering, assisting in enrichment, bathing, brushing, and administering medication
• Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe facility and grounds
• Assisting in the check-in and check-out process
• Answering phones and answering client questions or concerns
• Taking pictures of pets and sending daily report cards of pet health
• Assisting the groomer with baths as needed
• Utilizing a multi-line phone system
• Utilizing a complex computer system

Additional Information:

• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Shift Information:

• We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule and the ability to work anytime during our hours (Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM). Our goal is to maintain a consistent weekly schedule, but due to seasonality in our business, some fluctuations are expected.

Types: Full-Time or Part-time: $9-$12.50/hr

Requirements:

Required Hard Skills:

• Ability to work multiple hours on your feet with frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted
• Feel comfortable cleaning up after dogs and cats
• Reliable transportation

Required Soft Skills:

• Coachable attitude with a desire to learn and grow
• Dependable & Reliable, especially during holidays (we do not expect you to work every holiday).
• Pro-Active Communicator (example, communicates personal scheduling needs in advance, such as classes, doctors' appointments, etc.)
