This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care at a facility in Auburn, NY. Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to psychiatric patients.
- Conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Administering medications and monitoring patient response.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Managing crisis situations using appropriate intervention techniques.
- Performing EKGs.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely.
- Adhering to facility policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Crisis Intervention Training.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN (inferred from general RN job description).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Travel nursing experience.
Special Considerations:
- Every other weekend and every other holiday shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
- Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts at no cost.
- Proctored EKG exam required on Day 1 of contract.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or declination required.
Scheduling:
- Every other weekend and every other holiday.
- 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shifts.
