Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is needed to provide full-time, temporary maternity leave coverage at a school in Kentwood, Michigan. This role offers the opportunity to support students emotional and social development by addressing barriers to academic success in a school-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to students encountering social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop effective intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to implement strategies that support students social and emotional well-being.
• Participate in the development and execution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and timely support for students facing acute issues.
• Educate staff and students on social-emotional skills and mental health awareness.
• Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and track student progress.
• Facilitate communication between the school, families, and community agencies to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Active LMSW licensure valid in the state of Michigan.
• Prior experience in a school-based environment or pediatric social work.
• Knowledge of IDEA, 504 Plans, and other special education regulations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt and manage diverse student needs in a dynamic school setting.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention and problem-solving.

Location: Kentwood, Michigan
Schedule: Flexible school hours with occasional after-school events.
Employment Type: Full-time, temporary contract (maternity leave coverage).
