We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Sheffield, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will handle a high volume of individual tax return filings while working in a fast-paced environment. This position is fully onsite and offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in tax preparation and city tax filings.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file individual tax returns (1040 forms) efficiently and accurately.
• Manage a high volume of tax appointments, ensuring timely and meticulous service.
• Utilize your knowledge of local city tax regulations to meet compliance standards.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and resolve any inquiries.
• Work with Drake Tax Software to process filings, with training provided if needed.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure accuracy in all tax-related documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions.
• Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Support the team during peak tax seasons with flexibility and dedication.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in individual tax preparation, specifically with 1040 forms.
• Familiarity with local city tax regulations is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Drake Tax Software is preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Capability to work onsite in Sheffield, Ohio, throughout the contract duration.
• Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
