Precision Stainless & Supplies is seeking a highly skilled & reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for welding products per specifications ensuring weld integrity and quality. Fits and assembles components according to prints, sketches, or drawings to construct, rebuild and/or repair a variety of stainless-steel food processing machines and equipment. They will work closely with our Project Supervisors/Leads and other welders/fabricators in a manufacturing environment to ensure projects are completed timely.

Job Description:

· Weld according to specifications required using a variety of welding processes (MIG & Stick). TIG welding of sanitary stainless steel with ability to produce highly cosmetic TIG welds for visible products.

• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded. Set up, assemble, and tack weld parts.
• Repair equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Fabricate a variety of food processing/manufacturing equipment.
• Set up and operate fabrication machines including rolls, break lathe, drill press, grinders and shear.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, welders and other equipment such as forklifts, reach lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts.
• Follow verbal instructions and drawings.
• Provide emergency, unscheduled repairs, as needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment; promote and follow safe work practices; comply with all company safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Regular attendance at the worksite is required.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be available to work a 5-day, 8-hour schedule. Travel, overtime, and weekend work may be required, as business needs dictate.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of MIG, TIG and stick welding & fabrication experience, preferably in food manufacturing/processing field.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• Mechanical background
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, blueprints, and sketches as required to produce parts/projects.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
• Ability to work safely (follow company safety policies at all times) and efficiently.
• Maintains shop and work area in a safe, clean, and orderly environment; adheres to safety standards according to established policies and procedures.
• Able to work with limited supervision and follow instructions.
• Able to work as a team member in group situations.
• Requires a valid driver’s license & maintaining a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

Physical Requirements:

The following requirements are essential for the safe performance of this job:

• Physical ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, squat, kneel, and lie on level, uneven and slippery concrete surfaces.
• Manual dexterity for the use of common tools is required.
• Must be capable of working in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
