Position Summary

The Health Information Management Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely discharge medical record reconciliation, maintenance of the Accounting and Disclosure Log, Immunization Forms, and Medical Record Audit Review. The HIM Clerk also prepares reporting on Deficiency Notifications, Suspension Notification, information for the IOS Data for Starte reporting and other HIM support functions.

Education :

Graduate of Medical Assisting, medical terminology or program of related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

Experience in healthcare and/or Health Information Management is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology it relates to relates to medical records is required.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and advanced word processing skills are required.

The HIM Clerk must maintain strong independent work habits with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of facility staff regarding Health Information Management process.

Working experience with Microsoft Word and Excel applications are preferred.
