You will begin by building your fashion vocabulary and learning how to understand trends and past fashion styles. You will study color theory and basic design principles so you can create strong and meaningful designs.

Fashion Illustration Skills

You will learn how to draw croquis in different postures and how to render skin using watercolors. You will also build mood boards, color boards, research boards, and theme boards. As you progress, you will practice advanced illustration techniques with prints and textures.

Draping Techniques

You will work with real fabric on a mannequin to understand how garments are created. This includes bodice draping, skirt draping, panel dress draping, fabric manipulation, and final draping. These skills help you understand the structure and fall of the garment.

Pattern Making and Measurements

You will learn how to read and use a body measurements chart and create a basic bodice pattern. You will study Pattern Making levels one, two, and three and learn how patterns turn into real clothing.

Sewing Skills

You will learn Sewing levels one, two, and three, which cover the entire process of stitching, finishing, and assembling garments in a clean and professional way.

Embellishments and Practical Exposure

You will explore hand embellishment techniques and learn how details can elevate a garment. The program also includes an industry visit so you can experience the professional fashion environment.

Final Project and Portfolio

At the end of the course, you will work on your final project and build a complete portfolio that showcases your illustration skills, draping work, patterns, and stitched garments. This portfolio will help you apply for jobs, internships, or further studies.
